Quick Fudge Frosting Recipe
Ingredients
| Unsweetened chocolate square | 2 | |
| 1/4 cup butter or regular margarine, softened | ||
| Confectioner’s sugar | 3 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
| Salt | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| 1/4 cup hot light cream or evaporated milk, | ||
| Undiluted | ||
| Vanilla extract | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Rum | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Extract | ||
Directions
Melt chocolate over hot water.
Remove from heat; let cool.
In medium bowl, combine butter, sugar, salt, and 3 tablespoons hot cream.
With wooden spoon, or portable electric mixer at medium speed, beat until mixture is smooth.
Add chocolate; continue beating until frosting is thick enough to spread.
Add vanilla.
If frosting seems too thick, gradually beat in a little more hot cream.
Makes enough to fill and frost an 8-inch or 9-inch
two-layer cake.
