Quick Creme De Menthe Pie Freeze Recipe

The crème de menthe pie freeze is a frozen dessert pie made with chocolate wafer crust. Prepared with a filling of crème de menthe, marshmallow crème, whipping cream and chocolate mint candies, the quick crème dementhe pie freeze is best served after freezing for at least two hours.

Ingredients

 
25 chocolate wafers, crushed (1 1/3 cups)
 
6 tablespoons margarine or butter, melted
 
1 7 ounce jar marshmallow creme
 
1/4 cup green creme dementhe
 
1/2 cup finely chopped layered chocolate-mint candies(16 rectangles)
 
2 cups whipping cream

Directions

In a mixing bowl toss together crushed wafers and margarine or butter till well combined.
Press crumb mixture firmly onto bottom and up the sides of a 9 inch pie plate; set aside.
In a large mixer bowl beat marshmallow creme and creme de menthe with an electric mixer till smooth.
Fold in candy.
In a small mixer bowl beat whipping cream till soft peaks form (tips curl).
Fold into marshmallow mixture.
Spoon into the crumb crust.
Freeze, uncovered, for 1 to 2 hours or till firm.
Remove from freezer.
Seal, label, and freeze.
To serve, unwrap frozen pie.
Set the pie plate on a warm, damp towel.
