Quick Corn Chowder Recipe

Ingredients
2 teaspoons margarine
1/2 cup each diced onion and celery
2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
1 cup each skim milk and drained canned whole-kernel corn
1 teaspoon imitation bacon bits, crushed
1/8 teaspoon each salt and powdered mustard
Dash white pepper
Garnish:
Ground nutmeg
Directions
In 1-quart saucepan heat margarine until bubbly and hot; add onion and celery and saute until onion is translucent.
Add flour and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute; gradually stir in milk and, stirring constantly, bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and cook, stirring, until mixture is smooth and thickened, 2 to 3 minutes; add remaining ingredients except nutmeg and, stirring constantly, cook until thoroughly combined and hot.
Pour into 2 bowls and sprinkle each portion with dash nutmeg.
