Quick Supper Rice Recipe
Ingredients
| Onion | 1 | |
| Oil | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Paprika pepper | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cooked ham | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), diced | |
| 1/2 cup diced luncheon meat or other cooked meat | ||
| 2 cups cooked long-grain rice | ||
| Cheese | 1 Cup (16 tbs), diced | |
| Chives | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
Directions
Peel and finely chop the onion.
Heat the oil in a frying pan and add the onion.
Fry for 5 minutes.
Stir in the salt, paprika and pepper, then add the diced ham and luncheon meat.
Fry for 1 minute.
Add the rice and mix thoroughly.
Continue to cook for 4-5 minutes to reheat the rice.
Add a spoonful or two of water if the mixture is too dry.
Stir in the cheese and cook for a further 1-2 minutes, until the cheese begins to melt.
Sprinkle over the chives and serve hot, with green beans.
