Quick Orange Babas Recipe
Ingredients
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1/4 cup currants
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup orange juice
3 tsp grated orange peel
Directions
Mix cake mix according to package directions.
Pour into a 4- or 6-cup well-buttered ring mold.
Bake in a 375° oven for 25 minutes.
Cool and carefully remove.
Combine sugar, water, orange juice, and orange peel.
Cook until sugar is dissolved.
With a fork, prick cake on top and sides.
While syrup is hot, slowly pour it over the cake.
Chill and serve with Butter Creme Frosting or whipped cream.
