Quick Onion Cheese Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 2 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 3 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 cup shredded extra-old Cheddar cheese | ||
| Onion | 1 Large | |
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Egg | 1 , beaten | |
| Milk | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
With a pastry blender or two knives, cut butter into flour mixture.
Stir in shredded cheese.
Slice onion in thin rounds, then cut slices in half.
In a skillet, brown onion in butter.
Add onion to flour-butter mixture.
Add beaten egg and milk.
Drop heaping tablespoons of dough in a circle on a greased cookie sheet.
The mounds of dough should just touch each other.
Bake in a 400°F oven for approximately 20 to 25 minutes, or until biscuits are golden brown.
