Quick Marinara Recipe
Ingredients
| 3/4 cup coarsely chopped onion | ||
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Olive oil | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Ripe plum tomatoes | 3 Pound, drained | |
| Italian | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 8 leaves fresh basil, minced, or 1/2 teaspoon dried sweet basil | ||
| Dried oregano | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Ground black pepper | 1 To taste | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
Directions
In saucepan over medium heat, saute onion and garlic in olive oil until onion is wilted.
Do not brown.
Add tomatoes and remaining ingredients.
Bring to a boil, then lower heat to medium and simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, 25 to 30 minutes.
