Quick Chocolate Walnut Filled Cake Recipe

Cake
 
2 cup cake flour
 
1/2 cup cocoa
 
3 tsp granulated sugar
 
1 tsp baking powder
 
1 1/4 cup milk
 
1/4 cup soft margarine
 
2 eggs
 
Filling
 
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
 
1/3 cup walnuts, very finely chopped
 
1/3 cup milk
 
1 tsp granulated sugar
 
1 tsp baking powder
 
1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

Combine cake flour, cocoa, sugar replacement and baking powder in sifter.
Sift into medium bowl, add remaining ingredients and beat until smooth and creamy.
Pour into well greased and floured 3 qt. (3 L) fluted tube pan.
Combine all ingredients in small bowl, mixing with fork until well blended.
Spoon in a ring over center of chocolate batter.
Do not touch sides of pan with filling.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35 minutes, or until done.
Cool in pan 20 to 25 minutes, invert onto cooling rack or plate and cool completely.
Frost with favorite glaze.
