Quick Cherry Pie Recipe
Ingredients
| Baked Pie Shell | ||
| Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cornstarch | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Cherries | 2 Can (10oz), drained | |
| Almond extract | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Almonds | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
Directions
Bake pie shell.
Set aside.
Blend sugar, cornstarch and salt in medium bowl.
Stir in cherries.
Microwave at HIGH (100%) until mixture is translucent, 8 to 11 minutes, stirring once or twice during cooking.
Stir in almond extract.
Pour into pie shell.
Sprinkle with almonds.
Chill.
Set aside.
