Quick Cheddar Burgers Recipe
Ingredients
| Shortening | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Onion- ½ cup, finely chopped | ||
| Green pepper- ¼ cup, finely chopped | ||
| Celery- ¼ cup, finely chopped | ||
| Beef mince | 1 Pound | |
| Cheddar cheese- ¼ cup, diced | ||
| Tomato sauce | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Vinegar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Worcestershire sauce | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Hamburger buns- 4 to 5 no-€™s, split in half and toasted | ||
Directions
MAKING
1. In a heavy bottomed skillet, heat fat.
2. Add pepper, celery and onions and saute on a medium flame till onions start to brown.
3. Add beef and saute till meat borwns evenly.
4. Add remaining ingredients, mix well and simmer on a low flame for 10 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
5. On a flat griddle, place buns and warm on both sides.
SERVING
6. Place mixture on warm buns and serve immediately.
