Quick Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
| 450 g - 1 lb butter | ||
| 150 g - 5 oz icing sugar | ||
| 150 g - 5 oz custard power | ||
| Enough self raising flour to make a Soft biscuit dough | ||
Directions
In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar well.
Sift in the custard powder and gradually add enough sifted self raising flour to make a soft biscuit dough.
Using a biscuit maker, press out into required shapes onto a lightly greased baking sheet.
Alternatively roll out onto a lightly floured board and cut into attractive shapes.
Decorate with hundreds and thousands, chopped cherries or angelica and bake for almost 25 minutes until lightly golden.
Cool on a wire tray.
Whilst still warm brush with glace icing for that little shine.
