Quick and Easy Bay Fried Rice Recipe
Ingredients
| Basmati rice | 400 Gram | |
| 3 tablespoons vegetable ghee | ||
| Onion | 1 , sliced | |
| Bay leaves | 2 | |
| Cloves | 2 | |
| 2 black cardamoms | ||
| Black peppercorns | 4 To taste | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1 1/2 teaspoons ginger pulp | ||
| 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic pulp | ||
| Water | 750 Milliliter | |
Directions
1. Wash the rice thoroughly and leave it to soak in a bowl.
2. Heat the ghee in a heavy-based saucepan, add the onion and fry until golden brown. Add the bay leaves, cloves, cardamoms and black peppercorns and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, then add the salt, ginger and garlic. Drain the rice, then add it to the pan and stir-fry for 1 minute.
3. Pour in the water and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat to medium, cover the pan and cook for 15-20 minutes or until all the water has been absorbed and the rice is cooked. Leave to stand for 5 minutes before serving.
