Ingredients
| Peaches | 3 Pound (7 Medium Peaches) | |
| Figs | 3 Pound (36 Figs) | |
| Water | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 5 Pound (11 1/4 Cup) | |
| Ground cinnamon | 1⁄8 Teaspoon |
Directions
Peel the peaches (and the figs, if you prefer), and cut them in small pieces.
In a large pan, combine fruits and the water, and cook slowly until tender.
Mash fruit with a potato masher, add the sugar and cinnamon, stirring, and cook slowly until almost as thick as desired. (The jam will thicken when cool; to test consistency, place a little on a saucer and chill quickly in a freezer.) Pour into hot, sterilized jars; seal according to manufacturer's instructions.
