Quarterback Sandwich Recipe
Quaterback sandwich is a fresh vegetable and meat sandwich. Cheesy and filling, flavored with italian salad dressing, the quaterback sandwich is a non-cooked sandwich and can be wrapped and taken to work easily!
Ingredients
| Mushrooms | 6 , sliced | |
| Tomato | 1 Medium, thinly sliced | |
| Green bell pepper | 1 To taste, thinly sliced | |
| Black olives | 4 , sliced | |
| Italian salad dressing | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 round loaf (1 lb. unsliced) bread | ||
| Lettuce leaves | 4 | |
| 1 (12 oz.) variety pkg. meats | ||
| Swiss cheese package | 1 , sliced | |
| 8 long wood or plastic skewers | ||
Directions
Combine first 4 ingredients and half the dressing in a bowl; let stand 15 minutes.
Drain.
Cut bread in half horizontally.
Hollow out bread from each side, leaving a shell about 1 inch thick.
Sprinkle remaining dressing on each bread half.
Line bottom half of bread with 2 lettuce leaves; top with half the meat and cheese slices, vegetables, remaining meat and cheese slices and lettuce.
Add top half of bread.
Insert 8 skewers in a circle through sandwich to secure.
Cut into 8 wedges.
