 Egg1 , Well beaten
 Butter1/2 Cup (16 tbs), cooled
 Whipping cream1 Cup (16 tbs)
 1 teaspoon mace or 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

1. Put plums into an ungreased 2-quart shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with a mixture of brown sugar, 3 tablespoons flour, and cinnamon; mix gently with a fork.
2. To prepare topping, sift together 1 cup flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and mace. Add to the beaten egg and stir with a fork until mixture is crumbly; sprinkle evenly over plums in baking dish. Pour the melted butter evenly over top.
3. Bake at 375°F 40 to 45 minutes, or until topping is lightly browned.
4. Beat whipping cream until stiff, beating in mace with last few strokes.
