1 lb (450 g) potatoes, peeled
 
1/2 tsp (2 ml) salt
 
1 egg, beaten
 
2 tbsp (30 ml) butter
 
2 tbsp (30 ml) milk
 
1/4 tsp (1 ml) nutmeg
 
Salt and pepper

Directions

–  Preheat oven to 300 °F (150 °C).
–  In a saucepan filled with lightly salted boiling water, cook potatoes, then drain, place in an oven-proof dish and dry in oven for 15 minutes.
–  In a bowl, mash potatoes. Add other ingredients and mix until smooth and creamy.
