Puree Of Breadfruit Recipe
The breadfruit puree is a cooked and blended puree made with breadfruit and cream. The breadfruit puree can be used in any way you please. The seasoning added to taste, you can puree the breadfruit in the food mill or with a blender after cooking
Ingredients
| 1 breadfruit (1 1/2 pounds), peeled and cubed | ||
| Whipping cream | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt, freshly ground pepper, and cayenne or red pepper to taste | ||
Directions
Cook breadfruit in lightly salted water until tender; drain.
Process breadfruit, a small amount at a time, with a small amount of cream, in an electric blender to make a puree.
Mix in seasonings.
Note: If desired, force breadfruit through a food mill and beat in cream, slightly whipped, and the seasonings.
