I am from dominican Republic and we DO NOT use chili powder or yogurt for any traditional dishes I am wondering where he got that recipe from. Also there is a huge difference between the 2 platanos. The yellow platano is called "platano maduro" as the green platano ages it becomes maduro, therefore sweeter and tender with time. Very different in taste, the older the sweeter.

I actually clicked on in order to fine tune my mojito sauce. I didn't expect yogurt, I'm sure its delish, will have to try. The traditional sauce is garlic, vinegar, pepper, and evoo as had in puerto rico and santo domingo. Oh and the yellow plaintains are very sweet and soft, green plaintains have a sweetness but are not as sweet and fry up crunchy.
