Pumpkin Hermits Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 egg, well beaten
2 cups pureed cooked or canned pumpkin
2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup raisins
Directions
Gradually add sugar to butter, beating until fluffy.
Beat in egg and pumpkin.
Combine flour with remaining ingredients.
Stir into pumpkin mixture, blending well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto a greased baking sheet.
Bake in a preheated 350° oven about 12 minutes.
Remove to a cake rack to cool
