Ingredients

 
250 gms. pumpkin, cut into pieces
 
1 green chilli, chopped
 
1 teaspoon salt
 
2 potatoes, cut into pieces
 
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
 
3 tablespoons ghee
 
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
 
1-2 tomatoes, optional

Directions

Soak pumpkin and potatoes in water for a while.
Heat ghee on a moderate fire and fry the cumin seeds.
Add the vegetables, green chilli, salt and turmeric powder.
Stir briskly.
Pour half a cup of water and partially cover the pan.
Cook on a very low fire for about fifteen minutes till the water dries up and the potatoes become soft.
Add tomatoes last.
