Directions

Cream 1/2 cup sugar, butter and vanilla in a bowl, then stir in the eggs.
Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm milk and stir into creamed mixture.
Add the sour cream and flour alternately, then refrigerate overnight.
Remove from refrigerator and leave at room temperature for 1 hour.
Roll out on a floured surface to 1/8-inch thick rectangle.
Beat egg whites in a bowl until soft peaks form, then beat until stiff, adding 1/2 cup sugar gradually.
Spread over dough.
Sprinkle with nuts, cinnamon and remaining sugar.
Roll as for jelly roll and cut crosswise into 6 pieces.
Place, cut side up, in a large, greased tube pan and let rise for 2 hours.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or until browned.
