Puffy Broiled Fillets Recipe
Ingredients
| Vegetable oil spray | ||
| 1 pound fish fillets, with skin | ||
| 1 tablespoon acceptable margarine, melted | ||
| Ground black pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Tartar sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 2 tablespoons light, reduced-calorie mayonnaise | ||
| 1 egg white, beaten until stiff | ||
Directions
Preheat broiler.
Lightly spray a shallow baking dish with vegetable oil.
Rinse fish and pat dry.
Place fillets skin side down in prepared dish.
Brush with margarine and season with pepper.
Broil about 10 minutes, 3 to 4 inches from heat.
Meanwhile, gently fold tartar sauce and mayonnaise into stiffly beaten egg white.
When fish flakes easily, spread mixture over fillets and broil 2 minutes more, or until topping is golden brown.
