Puff Paste Twists Recipe

Ingredients
| Egg yolks | 4 | |
| Confectioner’s sugar | 3 Ounce | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Brandy | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Finely grated rind of 1 lemon | ||
| Flour | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Melted butter | 2 Ounce | |
| Vegetable oil | 1 Quart (For Frying:) | |
Directions
1. Mix egg yolks, sugar, brandy, and lemon rind. Add the flour and work together. Leave it in a cold place to set.
2. Roll out the flour and trim out strips about 1/2 inch wide and 4 inches long.
3. Make a slit along part of the middle of each strip and pull one end of it through the strip. Place a few twists at a time in the heated (300°F) fat and fry them until golden brown, about 1 1/2-2 minutes. Let them drain on paper towel. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar just before serving.
