Prune Pockets Recipe
|Prunes||15 Medium, pitted and cut into quarters|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Brandy extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Grated orange peel||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Granulated sugar||1 Tablespoon|
|Cornstarch||3⁄4 Teaspoon, dissolved in 1 tablespoon water|
|Refrigerated buttermilk flaky biscuits||5 Ounce (1 Package Of 5 Biscuits)|
|Confectionery sugar||1 Teaspoon|

Reduce heat and let simmer until mixture is a pasty consistency, about 5 minutes.
Combine granulated sugar and dissolved cornstarch; add to prune mixture and stir until thoroughly combined.
Remove from heat and let cool.
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Separate biscuits and roll each between 2 sheets of wax paper, forming five 4-inch circles.
Spoon 1/5 of prune mixture onto center of each circle and fold each in half, turnover style; moisten outer edges of dough and, using the tines of a fork, press edges to seal.
Transfer turnovers to nonstick baking sheet and bake until golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes.
Remove turnovers to wire rack to cool.
