Pronto Puppies Recipe
Pronto Puppies is rich with the flavors of franks, mustard and yellow cornmeal. This is a pretty easy dish to prepare too. Just check out the recipe of the rich tasting Pronto Puppies.
Ingredients
| Egg | 1 | |
| Milk | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Bisquick | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Yellow cornmeal | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Paprika | 1/4 Tablespoon | |
| Dry mustard | 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Cayenne | 1/8 Tablespoon | |
| 2 lbs. miniature franks | ||
Directions
Heat deep fat to 375 °.
Blend egg and milk.
Stir in dry ingredients.
Dip franks in batter and fry until brown on both sides.
Drain.
Stick a round (not colored) toothpick in the end of each puppy and arrange in one layer on a cookie sheet.
At this point they may be frozen or refrigerated for a few days in necessary.
Reheat in 400c oven for 5 minutes.
May be served with a mustard dip.
