Ingredients

Ingredients

1.Prawns - 1kg

2.Red Chilly powder -1 1/2tsp

3.Kashmiri Chilly powder- 1 1/2 tsp

4.Turmeric powder -1 tsp

5.Green Chilly-3

7.Curry leaves-plenty of

8.Coconut Oil

9.Salt-to taste

Directions

Method

Grind both the chilly powders, turmeric powder, green chilly, ginger and curry leaves(10no) make a fine paste...

Take a non stick pan and add prawns into that .. Add the fine paste of masala to the prawns ..Add salt and plenty of water to this and mix well..(The water level should be above the prawns)

Allow the prawns to cook ...Cook it till the prawns becomes dry with masala .There should be no water left...(U can see the prawns to be dark red in color with thick masala over it ..In this time u can check the salt and if u need more spice add chilly powder and salt according to ur taste...) I will add the pictures soon...

To this dry prawns masala add good amount of coconut oil and curry leaves and saute well..Fry till the prawns get dark red color. In between add coconut oil and curry leaves...(that will make the roast more tastier and that is the secret of this recipe !!) ..When it ready u will get a very nice and fine aroma ...

Then remove it from fire and transfer into a serving bowl and decorate with green chilly and curry leaves ...

The shrimps looks delicious veenajan. Would love to try Indian style prawns some day and this is one quick and easy recipe by the looks of it. Hope to get the authentic Indian flavor. Had once tasted something similar on one of my backwater trips in the beautiful land - Kerala. Thought with your excellent culinary skills you probably would be interested in the baking event. I am hosting a baking event here at ifood -details are available on the home page blog. Looking forward to your support and encouragement.
