Prawns Masala in Coconut Gravy Recipe

| Prawns | 1⁄2 Kilogram | |
| Onion | 2 | |
| Tomato | 1 Medium | |
| Coconut | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Ginger | 1 Inch | |
| Garlic | 8 Clove (40 gm) | |
| Coriander leaves | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Cumin seeds | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Green chilly | 3 | |
| Garam masala | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Chilli powder | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Hing | 1 Pinch | |
| Mustard seeds | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Turmeric | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | To Taste |
Directions
1. Shell, wash, and de-vein prawns. Marinate with little haldi and salt. Keep for 15 minutes.
2. Grind coconut with coriander leaves, chilly, garlic, ginger, jeera seeds to smooth paste.
3. Heat oil, add mustard, jeera, haldi, and hing.
4. Add onions and fry for 2 mins.
5. Add tomato and fry till pulpy. Now add masala paste, red chilli powder, and sme garam/sunday masala powder.
6. Fry till oil separates.
7. Now add prawns, salt and fry for 2 minutes.
8. Add 1 cup of hot water and cook for 15 - 20 minutes till there is a desired amount of gravy.
9. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

Goregeous and such a fabulous recipe-I am making this soon-we love shrimp/prawn. We can get those grogeous fresh water prawns from Kalkutta here in the San Francisco Bay Area.
