Hey cbb....thank you for letting me know, but I got this recipe straight out of a 'Sanjeev Kapoor' cookbook and followed it. Probably this recipe could have been a modified version of the authentic goan prawn balchao. Also, there are no curry leaves in this recipe, I haven't even mentioned it in the ingredients!

Wow ! I like the look of this Prawn Balchao. Apart from rice I'd like to taste this with noodles too. Will taste good won't it ? BTW, being a Sanjeev Kapoor dish I'm sure its going to be mindblowing. Thanks for bringing this to us.

Hello,
How many servings is this recipe for? I'm trying to make 12 servings worth - so how should I increase the quantities?
Also, I was in Goa and I had this dish - they used baby shrimp...have you ever tried that?

Hi Q. The above recipe serves 6 -7 people. You may increase the quantity by using 2 pounds/0.9 kg shrimp and increase other ingredients accordingly. The resultant product may be a little more than needed but when inviting people over, I always prefer to have a little extra leftovers rather than scraping the last bits of the dish into some one's plate.
