Prawn Shrimp Chop Suey Recipe
Ingredients
| Vegetable oil - 2 x 15 ml spoons/2 tablespoons | ||
| Spring onions | 5 | |
| Fresh root ginger - Small piece , peeled and chopped | ||
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm) | |
| Prawns | 100 Gram, peeled | |
| Cornflour - 2 x 5 ml spoons/2 teaspoons | ||
| Chicken stock - 5 x 15 ml spoons/5 tablespoons | ||
| Soy sauce - 1.5 x 15 ml spoons/1 1/2 tablespoons | ||
| Honey - 1 x 15 ml spoon/1 tablespoon | ||
| Dry sherry - 1 x 15 ml spoon/1 tablespoon | ||
| Tomato ketchup - 1x15 ml spoon/1 tablespoon | ||
| Bean sprouts | 225 Gram (To finish:) | |
| Vegetable oil - 1 x 15 ml spoon/1 tablespoon | ||
| Egg | 1 (To finish:) | |
Directions
MAKING
1.In a pan, heat the oil and saute onions in it for a minute.
2.Put ginger, garlic and prawns to it and stir for 2 minutes.
3.Combine stock with cornflor and add to the pan along with soy sauce, honey, sherry and tomato ketchup.
4.Saute for 2 more minutes.
SERVING
5.Serve warm on an omelet along with bean sprouts.
Tip
The dish can be frozen and served after thawing for 4 hours at room temperature and reheating.
