Prawn Ring Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 tablespoon unflavoured gelatine | ||
| Warm water | 6 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Cucumber | 1 Small, peeled | |
| Onion | 1/2 Small | |
| Cottage cheese | 8 Ounce | |
| Mayonnaise | 1/4 Pint | |
| 2 eating apples, peeled, cored and sliced | ||
| 2 small packets frozen prawns | ||
| Few large | ||
| Fresh prawns | ||
| Parsley sprigs | ||
Directions
Soften the gelatine in the water, add salt.
Stir over a low heat until the gelatine dissolves.
Halve the cucumber and scrape out the seeds; grate the cucumber and onion.
Beat cottage cheese and mayonnaise into gelatine.
Add eating apples, cucumber and onion.
Lastly add the defrosted prawns.
Pour into a ring mould and leave to set.
When firm unmould and garnish with whole fresh prawns and parsley.
Serve with a green salad.
