Praline Buffins Recipe
This praline muffin recipe bring syou the joy of praline in a snacky little bake. Flavored with apple sauce and cinnamon, it has the hidden appeal of crunchy nut halves. A special muffin with a difference, it is fondly called the praline buffin!
Ingredients
| Butter | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Packed brown sugar | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pecan halves/Walnut halves | 36 | |
| Biscuit baking mix | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
| Applesauce | 75 Milliliter | |
| Milk | 75 Milliliter |
Directions
Put 2 tsp (10 mL) butter in each muffin cup.
Heat in preheated oven until butter is melted.
Stir 2 tsp (10 mL) brown sugar and a pinch of cinnamon into butter in each cup.
Add 3 nut halves to each.
In a large bowl, combine biscuit mix, applesauce and milk.
Mix well until a dough forms.
Spoon batter into muffin cups.
Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes.
Invert whole pan immediately onto a plate and let sit for 5 minutes, allowing syrup to run down over buffins.
Remove the pan and serve warm.
HINT: To get walnut meats out whole, soak nuts overnight in salt water before cracking.
