Powdered Sugar Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
| Powdered sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cream of tartar | 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Egg | 1 , beaten | |
| Flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Soda | 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Butter | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 t. vanilla or lemon or almond extract | ||
Directions
Mix dry ingredients as for pie crust.
Cut in butter.
Add beaten egg and flavoring.
Chill.
Roll into tiny balls; flatten with glass dipped in crystal sugar.
Bake 8-10-12 minutes at 375°.
Watch as they burn easily.
Delicious! Makes 3 dozen.
