Pound Cake Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup butter
1 cup warmed honey
4 eggs
2 1/8 cups whole wheat pastry flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon soda
2/3 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
Preheat oven to 300° F.and grease and flour a large tube pan, or a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Cream butter.
Add honey and blend well.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well.
Mix flour, salt, and soda.
Add alternately with sour cream; blend well.
Fold in vanilla.
Pour into prepared pan and bake in preheated oven for about 1 1/2 hours, or until lightly browned on top.
