Ingredients

 
2 teaspoons margarine, divided
 
2 tablespoons diced onion
 
1 garlic clove, minced
 
1/2 cup chopped mushrooms
 
8 ounces ground turkey
 
1 egg
 
1 slice white bread, made into crumbs
 
2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley, divided
 
1/4 teaspoon crushed thyme leaves
 
1/8 teaspoon each salt and pepper
 
2 teaspoons all-purpose flour, divided
 
1 packet instant chicken broth and seasoning mix, dissolved in 1 cup hot water
 
1/4 cup skim milk

Directions

In small nonstick skillet heat 1 teaspoon margarine until bubbly and hot; add onion and garlic and saute until onion is translucent, about 2 minutes.
Add mushrooms and saute until softened, about 5 minutes.
Transfer mushroom mixture to a medium bowl and add turkey, egg, bread crumbs, 1 teaspoon parsley, and the thyme, salt, and pepper; stir to combine.
Form turkey mixture into 4 equal patties and sprinkle each with 1/4 teaspoon flour.
In 10-inch skillet heat remaining teaspoon margarine until bubbly and hot; add turkey patties and cook until browned on both sides.
Add dissolved broth mix and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover, and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
In measuring cup or small bowl combine milk and remaining teaspoon flour, stirring to dissolve flour; gradually stir into pan juices and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture becomes slightly thickened.
Serve sprinkled with remaining teaspoon parsley.
