 Bacon1/4 Pound, diced
 Onions2 Medium, thinly sliced
 Potatoes4 Medium, thinly sliced
 1/2 lb. Gruyere or Cheddar cheese, thinly sliced
 Butter
 Salt To Taste
 Pepper To Taste

Directions

Line crock pot with aluminum foil, leaving enough to overlap potatoes when finished.
Layer half each of the bacon, onions, potatoes and cheese in crock pot.
Season to taste and dot with butter.
Repeat layers of bacon, onions, potatoes and cheese.
Dot with butter.
Overlap with remaining foil.
Cover and cook on low setting for 10 to 12 hours (on high setting for 3 to 4 hours).
