Potatoes With Yogurt Recipe
Ingredients
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 pound small red-skinned new potatoes, boiled until tender and peeled
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
2 bay leaves, crumbled
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon grated fresh gingerroot
3/4 cup plain yogurt
Salt
Directions
1. Heat the oil in a skillet and add the potatoes. Cook quickly until lightly browned. Remove the potatoes and drain them on paper towels; keep warm.
2. Add the cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaves, and water to skillet and bring to a boil. Stir in the ginger and yogurt.
3. Reheat but do not boil. Add potatoes and season with salt to taste
