Potatoes with Mushroom Sauce In The Russian Style Recipe
Ingredients
| Potatoes - 675 - 900 g / 1 1/2 - 2 lb | ||
| Onion | 1 | |
| Mushrooms | 350 Gram | |
| Butter | 1 40 Gram | |
| Flour | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cream | 300 Milliliter, soured | |
| Dill or fennel - 1 tsp , chopped | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | 1 | |
Directions
MAKING
1 Throughly scrub the potatoes and boil them without peeling.
2 In a pan, add butter and cook onion and mushrooms for 15 minutes.
3 Throughly stir in the flour and add the soured cream slowly. Heat carefully making sure it does not boil.
4 Add most of the dill or fennel. Leave aside some of the herb for garnish.
5 Add salt and pepper for seasoning.
6 Peel the potatoes once cooked, slice them and arrange in a serving dish.
SERVING
7 Evenly spread the mushroom sauce over potatoes and garnish with remaining dill or fennel.
