Directions

GETTING READY
1 Trim fat off the beef.
2 Cut beef into cubes.

MAKING
3 In a bowl, toss the beef cubes in the onion soup mixture to coat.
4 In a pan, combine beef, potatoes and beer and bring to a boil.
5 Simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
6 When cooked, spoon into six individual bowls.

FINALIZING
7 Cut bread into six thick slices.
8 Spread with Dijon mustard and place a slice on top of meat in each bowl, mustard side down.
9 Top with grated cheese.
10 Brown under the broiler (or microwave on HIGH until the cheese melts and bubbles).
