Potato Devil's Food Chocolate Cake Recipe
Ingredients
1 (2 layer) package devil's food cake mix
3 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
11/3 cups water
1 cup unsalted mashed cooked potatoes
2 (16 ounce) cans coconut pecan frosting
Directions
Prepare the cake batter using 3 eggs, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, 1 1/3 cups water and mashed potatoes.
Pour the batter into 2 greased and floured 9 inch cake pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Spread the frosting between the layers and over the top and side of the cooled cake.
