Potato Topped Meat Loaf Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 1/4 pounds ground beef chuck | ||
| Ground pork | 1/2 pound | |
| Salt | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Black pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 3/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs | ||
| Egg | 1 , beaten | |
| Milk | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Potatoes | 1/2 Ounce, Whipped | |
| Tomato slices | 6 | |
| Shredded sharp Cheddar cheese | 1 4 Ounce | |
| Parsley for garnish | ||
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In medium bowl, combine ground chuck, pork, salt, pepper, bread crumbs, egg, milk.
Spread evenly in 10" by 6" by 2" baking dish.
Bake 40 minutes.
Drain off excess fat.
Meanwhile, make up one half package of whipped potatoes as label directs for 5 servings.
Spread over baked meat.
Arrange 6 tomato slices on top of potatoes; sprinkle with cheese.
Bake 10 to 15 minutes to melt cheese.
Garnish with parsley.
