Half fill a medium sized saucepan with water and bring to the boil.
Add the potatoes and a little salt, cover and boil for about 10-15 minutes until they are tender.
Drain the potatoes into a colander over the sink and then tip them back into the saucepan.
Add nearly half the butter and mash the potatoes with a potato masher.
Add the flour and baking powder a bit at a time and work into the potatoes.
Add 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Sprinkle a little extra flour on to the table and tip the potato mixture on to it.
Using your hands shape it into round shape.
Put them in baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
Keep them in a clean folded tea towel and eat while they are just warm.
