Potato Chip Tuna Melts Recipe
Ingredients
| Tuna in oil | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
| Celery ribs | 2 , finely chopped | |
| Mayonnaise | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| White wine vinegar | 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| 8 slices marble rye bread | ||
| 12 sandwich slices Cheddar cheese | ||
| 1 large tomato, sliced into 8 slices | ||
| 2 cups slightly crushed potato chips | ||
Directions
1. Heat a sandwich press, if using.
2. Using a fork, flake the tuna into a medium bowl. Add celery, mayonnaise, and vinegar and stir well.
3. Lay 4 slices of bread on work surface. Cover each with 1 slice of cheese, 2 tomato slices, and another slice of cheese. Mound tuna on top of each portion, top with 1 more slice of cheese and another slice of bread. Grill in a press or toast 2 sandwiches at a time in toaster oven set on medium-dark until bread is toasted and cheese is melted.
4. Open sandwiches, top tuna with potato chips, close, and cut in half. Serve hot.
