Potato And Mushroom Pie Recipe

Ingredients
Pastry for 2-crust pie
1/2 pound sliced mushroom caps
1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) butter
2 cups seasoned mashed potatoes
1 egg, slightly beaten
Directions
Line a 9-inch pie pan with one-half of the pastry.
Saute mushrooms in butter for 5 minutes.
Combine with mashed potatoes and put in a pastry-lined pan.
Top with remaining pastry, seal edges, slash top, and brush with slightly beaten egg.
Bake in a hot oven (425°) for 10 minutes.
Reduce temperature to moderate (350°) and continue baking 20 to 25 minutes or until crust is brown
