Pot Roast Piquante Recipe

Ingredients
3 to 4 lb. beef pot roast
1/4 cup flour
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1 can (16 oz.) tomatoes
2 onions, halved and sliced
1/2 cup sliced pitted ripe olives
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 ripe avocado, sliced
Lemon juice
Directions
Brown meat on both sides in hot oil in a large heavy skillet.
Mix in the tomatoes, onions, olives, and chili powder.
Cover and simmer until meat is tender, about 3 hours.
Remove meat to warm serving platter and pour gravy over meat.
Arrange avocado slices (drizzled with lemon juice to prevent discoloration) on top of pot roast and garnish with thin lemon cartwheels.
