Pot Roast In Foil Recipe
Ingredients
3 or 4 lb. pot roast
1 package dry onion soup mix
1/2 cup red wine or apple juice
1/4 teaspoon thyme or garlic powder or salt to taste, and a pinch of sugar.
Directions
Line a dutch oven with aluminum foil - 2 layers best, so it won't leak.
Place roast in dutch oven, add wine and sprinkle with soup mix and seasonings.
Close foil tightly all around the meat and cook 3 hours at 325°.
To make gravy, thicken the pan juices with a flour and water mixture.
