 Medium oatmeal - 2 ozs
 Water1 Pint
 Salt1 Teaspoon (Leveled)

Directions

MAKING
1 In a strong pan or double saucepan, heat the water.
2 Add in the salt.
3 Gradually sprinkle in the oatmeal and stir very well to mix.
4 Bring to the boil and stir well until it begins to thicken.
5 Cover and simmer for 1/2-1 hour, stirring frequently.
6 If required, pour in more boiling water, to obtain a pouring consistency.

SERVING
7 Serve with hot milk and salt or moist brown sugar.
