Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) ground pork
1/2 lb (225 g) ground beef
1/2 Cup (125 ml) chopped onion
1/2 tsp (2 ml) celery seeds
1 tsp (5 ml) flour
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp (5 ml) salt
2 tbsp (30ml)oil
Sauce
28 oz (796 ml) canned ground tomatoes
5 oz (142 ml) tomato paste
1/2 Cup (125 ml) chopped onion
1/2 tsp (2 ml) garlic salt or finely sliced garlic
1 tsp (5 ml) sugar
1 Cup (250 ml) water
Salt and pepper
Directions
– Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
– Combine first 7 ingredients, shape into small meat balls 1 1/2 inches (3,25 cm) in diameter.
– In a skillet, heat oil and cook meatballs 8 to 10 minutes, then place in a baking dish and set aside.
– In a bowl, combine all sauce ingredients, pour over meatballs, cover and bake for 1 hour.
– Combine first 7 ingredients, shape into small meat balls 1 1/2 inches (3,25 cm) in diameter.
