|Lean pork||2 1⁄2 Pound, cut into 1 inch cubes|
|Vegetable oil||2 Tablespoon|

|Tart apples||4 , peeled, cored, and cut into 1 inch cubes|
|All purpose flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), mixed|
|Scallions||2 , thinly sliced|
|Ground black pepper||To Taste|

Drain away accumulated fat.
Place meat in slow cooker with sugar, salt, and paprika.
Add some of the cider to the skillet and stir to pick up the browned bits.
Add to slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low about 8 hours.
Add apples the last 3 hours of cooking.
Pour off juice and thicken in a saucepan with flour water paste.
Return to stew: Gar nish with scallions and black pepper.
