 Lean pork2 Pound, cut into 3 by 1 inch strips
 Shortening2 Tablespoon
 Paprika1 Tablespoon
 Onion1 Large, chopped
 Carrots2 , cut in 3 inch strips
 Green pepper1 , cut into strips
 Tomatoes2 Medium, chopped
 Sliced mushrooms1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Salt1 Teaspoon
 Pepper1⁄4 Teaspoon
 Water3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
 Cornstarch1 Tablespoon
 Sour cream1 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

Brown pork strips in heated shortening.
Add paprika and onion; mix well.
Put in carrots, green pepper, tomatoes, mushrooms, salt, pepper, and 1/2 cup water.
Close cover and put pressure control in place.
When pressure is reached, cook for 10 minutes.
Let pressure drop of its own accord.
Mix cornstarch with 1/4 cup water and add to open cooker.
Stir until slightly thickened.
Keep stirring as you add the sour cream.
When all is hot, serve the stew with buttered noodles.
