Pork Chop Suey Recipe

Ingredients
1 pound shredded pork
2 tablespoons oil
3 stalks celery
12 fresh mushrooms, stemmed and shredded
12 water chestnuts, shredded
1/2 pound pea sprouts
1/2 cup chicken stock
Thickening:
1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 3 tablespoons water
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Directions
Heat a pan with oil and when it is very hot, saute the meat for 1 minute.
Add the celery, mushrooms, water chestnuts and pea sprouts.
Stir three or four times till all the vegetables and meat are well mixed.
Add the stock, cover and continue to cook for 5 minutes.
Add the thickening and when it is smooth and thick add the pepper and salt.
Stir once or twice and serve in a shallow bowl immediately.
